What does the original artwork description of the Indianapolis Museum of Art write about this work of art from the painter William J. Forsyth? (© - by Indianapolis Museum of Art - www.discovernewfields.org)
In this self-portrait William Forsyth wears a blue painter’s smock over his coat and tie, as he would have dressed while painting in his free time in his studio. He depicted himself holding his palette in his right hand, although we know that he painted right-handed—an inversion resulting from using a mirror to capture his own likeness. Already in his late 60s in this self-portrait, he was still teaching at the time, having spent a long career of over 40 years as an instructor of painting and drawing in Indiana.

- The poster print on canvas material: The poster is a UV printed canvas with a slight structure on the surface. Please note, that depending on the size of the poster print we add a white margin 2-6cm around the painting to facilitate the framing with a custom frame.
- Aluminium dibond: An Aluminium Dibond print is a print with an outstanding depth, which makes a contemporary look by having a surface structure, which is non-reflective. The colors of the print are luminous in the highest definition, the fine details are clear and crisp. This UV print on aluminium is one of the most popular entry-level products and is an extremely sophisticated way to showcase fine art reproductions, since it draws focus on the whole artwork.
- The acrylic glass print (with real glass coating): A glossy acrylic glass print, often referenced as a print on plexiglass, changes the original into marvellous wall décor. Furthermore, the acrylic glass fine art print is a good alternative option to canvas or aluminium dibond art prints. With an acrylic glass fine art print sharp contrasts and image details become exposed thanks to the precise gradation.
