Duchess of Berry. Loge. Theater.

The Duke of Berry was stabbed by Louvel (saddle worker) at the door of the Opera, then located rue de Richelieu, at the current location of the square Louvois. He was carried into the room adjoining his dressing room where he died. The theater was closed and demolished soon after. At its location was built a chapel sin that was unfinished when the revolution of 1830; its location, it aménagea in 1839 the current square.
