Edvard Perséus verkade som konstnär med inriktning mot historimåleriet, men sitt viktigaste avtryck i konsthistorien gjorde han som lärare i den egna målarskolan som bland annat förknippas med studievistelser på slottet Gripsholm. Bland hans elever fanns Carl Larsson, Richard Bergh, Karl Nordström, Eugène Jansson, Ernst Josephson och Nils Kreuger. Den här studien är utförd i Rom, där Perséus befann sig i början av 1870-talet.

• Printed poster (canvas material): Our poster is a UV printed canvas with a slightly rough surface finish. Please note, that depending on the absolute size of the poster print we add a white margin of approximately 2-6cm around the work of art, which facilitates the framing with a custom frame.
