Detailed Faust in Sabbath or Faust in Walpurgisnacht, is a composition inspired by the work of Goethe. Faust, led by Mephistopheles, sees the ghost of Marguerite holding her dead child in her arms. Marguerite was sentenced to death after drowning the child she had with Faust, the latter having abandoned after their first night. During Walpurgis Night, Faust, accompanied by Mephistopheles appear sees the ghost of his former lover.
