Artwork information from the museum (© - by The Metropolitan Museum of Art - The Metropolitan Museum of Art)
Unlike Jan Brueghel the Elder, who was a leading figure in the development of realistic landscape painting, Kerstiaen de Keuninck continued the Flemish tradition of imaginary mountain scenery that descended from Patinir. This large panoramic landscape view, dominated by fantastic mountains and rock formations, is an early work of the artist and was probably painted in Antwerp. It illustrates his concern with contrasting pictorial effects—such as heavy passages of opaque paint set off against areas sketched in a very thin medium—and with bold motifs like the water spray formed by flicking the brush.

Please bear in mind, that depending on the size of the canvas poster print we add a white margin of around 2-6cm round about the print motif, which facilitates the framing with a custom frame.
- Aluminium dibond print: An Aluminium Dibond print is a material with a true effect of depth. A direct Direct Print on Aluminum Dibond is your best introduction to art prints manufactured with aluminum. For your Direct Print On Aluminum Dibond, we print the selected artpiece on the surface of the aluminum composite. The bright and white parts of the work of art shimmer with a silk gloss but without glare. Colors are luminous, the fine details are very clear, and there’s a matte appearance you can literally feel.
- The glossy acrylic glass print (with real glass coating): An print on acrylic glass, which is often denoted as a print on plexiglass, makes your favorite original into gorgeous wall décor.
