The Unity party commemorated the fall of the monarchy 10 August 1792. Free People of the symbolism expressed through the Statue of Liberty, the dropping of the doves and the destruction of royal symbols. The Day of Unity took place on Revolution Square (now Place de la Concorde), 23 Thermidor Year I (10 August 1793).
