Nowadays, the artpiece can be viewed in in the Yale University Art Gallery's digital collection, which belongs to Yale University and is the oldest art museum of a university in the western hemisphere. Jean-Léon Gérôme was a painter from France, whose art style can be attributed primarily to Realism. The painter was born in the year 1824 and died at the age of 80 in the year 1904.
