This well-preserved picture is one of a number that Van Ruysdael painted in Haarlem about 1650, following Jan van Goyen's somewhat earlier example. The sailboat flying the Dutch flag is a "schouw," a shallow-draft vessel used to ship goods and carry occasional passengers on inland water-ways.

Select the item material of your choice
For every art print we offer a range of different materials and sizes. We allow yout to choose among the following variants:
- Aluminium dibond (metal print): Aluminium Dibond prints are metal prints with an outstanding depth effect, creating a fashionable impression with a surface , which is non-reflective. For your Direct Print On Aluminum Dibond, we print the selected work of art on the surface of the white-primed aluminum. The bright parts of the original artwork shimmer with a silky gloss, however without the glare. The colors of the print are luminous in the highest definition, the details appear crisp, and there’s a matte appearance you can literally feel.
- Printed acrylic glass with a glossy effect (with real glass coating on top): The print on acrylic glass, often labelled as a print on plexiglass, transforms the original artwork into lovely wall décor. Your own copy of the work of art is printed with modern UV direct printing machines. It makes sharp and vivid colors. The major advantage of an acrylic glass fine art print is that contrasts and also color details become more identifiable because of the very fine tonal gradation.
- Poster (canvas material): A poster is a printed canvas with a slight structure on the surface. It is qualified for framing the art copy using a customized frame. Please bear in mind, that depending on the absolute size of the poster print we add a white margin of something between 2-6cm around the painting, which facilitates the framing with your custom frame.
- The canvas print: The canvas direct print is a printed cotton canvas stretched on a wood frame. Canvas Prints have the advantage of being low in weight. This means, it is quite simple to hang your Canvas print without additional wall-mounts. Canvas prints are suited for any kind of wall in your home.
