The over 220 years old painting Engagement by candlelight was created by the male artist Anton Hickel in 1798. The work of art measures the size: 102 x 83,5 cm - frame size: 123 x 104 x 17 cm and was painted with the technique of oil on canvas. The artwork has the following text as inscrption: signed edge of the table in the middle: p Hickel.. Today, this piece of art can be viewed in in the collection of Belvedere. Further, the alignment of the digital reproduction is portrait with a ratio of 1 : 1.2, which means that the length is 20% shorter than the width. Anton Hickel was a male painter, whose artistic style can be attributed primarily to Baroque. The European painter was born in 1745 in Bohemian Leipa / Česká Lípa, Czech Republic and passed away at the age of 53 in 1798.
