Artwork description by The Metropolitan Museum of Art website (© Copyright - The Metropolitan Museum of Art - www.metmuseum.org)
One of twenty-two panels (14.114.1–.22) forming the ceiling from the Palace of Pandolfo Petrucci, called Il Magnifico, Siena. The general distribution and partition of the ceiling appears to derive from that of a vaulted and painted ceiling in Nero's Golden House in Rome. Many of the individual figures also seem to derive from antique works of art– especially sarcophagi.

Choose your product material variant
In the product dropdown menu you can choose your prefered size and material. The following options are available for individualization:
- The poster print (canvas material): Our poster is a UV printed sheet of flat cotton canvas paper with a slightly rough texture on the surface, that reminds the original artwork. The poster print is ideally used for putting your art copy in a personal frame. Please keep in mind, that depending on the size of the poster we add a white margin of something between 2-6cm round about the print motif, which facilitates the framing with your custom frame.
- The canvas print: A printed canvas mounted on a wood frame. How can I hang a canvas on my wall? The advantage of canvas prints is that they are relatively low in weight, which means that it is easy and straightforward to hang the Canvas print without additional wall-mounts. That is why, a canvas print is suitable for any type of wall.
- Glossy acrylic glass print (with real glass coating): An print on acrylic glass, which is often described as a an art print on plexiglass, changes an original into brilliant décor and offers a viable alternative option to dibond or canvas prints. The great benefit of an acrylic glass fine art copy is that contrasts as well as painting details become exposed with the help of the subtle tonal gradation. Our real glass coating protects your selected fine art print against light and heat for decades.
- Aluminium dibond print: An Aluminium Dibond print is a print with an impressive depth effect, which creates a modern impression thanks to a non-reflective surface structure. The Direct Print on Aluminum Dibond is the ideal start to fine art reproductions with alu. For our Direct Print On Aluminum Dibond, we print the selected artpiece right onto the aluminium surface. The bright and white components of the artpiece shine with a silk gloss but without any glow. Colors are luminous in the highest definition, details of the print appear crisp and clear, and you can feel the matte appearance of the fine art print.
