This intimate portrait probably represents a sister of Helena Fourment, Rubens’s second wife and the youngest of the Antwerp silk merchant Daniel Fourment’s seven daughters. Most scholars favor an identification with Susanna Fourment, who married Arnold Lunden in 1622. Another Rubens portrait is thought to depict Clara Fourment (born 1593) and reveals a family resemblance. The veil, similar to a Spanish mantilla, was shifted by Rubens in the course of work and its earlier contours have become visible over time.

Order the product material of your choice
In the product dropdown menu you can select your individual material and size. Pick your favorite size and material among the following options:
- Poster print (canvas material): The poster print is a printed sheet of cotton canvas with a slightly roughened finish on the surface. A print poster is ideally suited for putting the fine art print using a custom frame. Please keep in mind, that depending on the absolute size of the canvas poster print we add a white margin of approximately 2-6cm around the artwork, which facilitates the framing.
- Aluminium dibond: An Aluminium Dibond print is a print material with a true effect of depth - for a modern look and a non-reflective surface. For your Print On Aluminum Dibond, we print the selected artpiece onto the aluminium composite white-primed surface. This print on aluminium is one of the most popular entry-level products and is a truly contemporary way to showcase art reproductions, since it puts all of the viewer’s focus on the artwork.
- Canvas print: The canvas print, not to be confused with a real canvas painting, is an image printed directly on cotton canvas. A canvas creates a typical impression of three dimensionality. The great advantage of canvas prints is that they are relatively low in weight, which means that it is quite simple to hang your Canvas print without any wall-mounts. That is why, canvas prints are suitable for all types of walls.
- Acrylic glass print: An acrylic glass print, which is often described as a UV print on plexiglass, will convert the original work of art into wall décor. The work of art will be made with modern UV direct print technology. The real glass coating protects your custom fine art print against sunlight and external influences for many decades.
