First reservoir built in Paris in 1865 by the engineer Eugène Belgrand, on the highest point of Paris, in the Ménilmontant area near Telegraph with a storage capacity of 95 000 m3. This was storing and collecting water from the aqueduct Dhuis east of Paris.
