Select your product material
For every art print we offer a range of different sizes and materials. We allow you to pick your favorite size and material among the following product individualization options:
- Canvas: A UV printed canvas material mounted on a wooden frame. Canvas prints are relatively low in weight. That means, it is easy to hang your Canvas print without the use of extra wall-mounts. Because of thatcanvas prints are suited for any type of wall in your house.
- Print on acrylic glass (with real glass coating): An print on acrylic glass, which is often described as a fine art print on plexiglass, changes the original work of art into brilliant home decoration. Moreover, it forms a distinct alternative to canvas and aluminidum dibond fine art replicas. The work of art is being manufactured with state-of-the-art UV direct printing machines. With an acrylic glass art print contrasts plus granular painting details will be identifiable thanks to the very fine tonal gradation.
- The poster print (canvas material): Our poster print is a printed sheet of cotton canvas with a slightly rough surface texture. Please bear in mind, that depending on the size of the poster we add a white margin between 2 - 6cm round about the painting to facilitate the framing with your custom frame.
- Aluminium dibond print (metal): Aluminium Dibond prints are prints on metal with an outstanding effect of depth. For the Aluminium Dibond option, we print the selected work of art onto the surface of the white-primed aluminum composite. The bright & white components of the original artwork shimmer with a silk gloss, however without any glow.
Important legal note: We try everythig possible in order to depict our art products as clearly as possible and to illustrate them visually. Still, the tone of the printed materials, as well as the printing might diverge slightly from the presentation on your device's monitor. Depending on the screen settings and the quality of the surface, not all colors are printed as exactly as the digital version. In view of the fact that the fine art prints are processed and printed by hand, there may also be slight differences in the motif's exact position and the size.

The morning sunshine is already lighting up this busy harbour scene. Travellers and tradesmen are gradually starting day’s work. Many people will over the years have wondered at the group of hooded figures. They are presumably members of some fraternity who were linked to the Church for some charitable purpose and would process through the town on certain annual occasions. Such fraternities, consisting of a group of citizens, have a long history in Italy and still exist today. The much-travelled Rørbye visited Italy twice, in 1834-37 and again in 1839-41, and the studio picture here is made up of studies from each journey. The picture was commissioned by Thorvaldsen and while being painted was inspected in the Copenhagen studio by the old sculptor as late as on the very day of his death, 24 March 1844. When it was exhibited in Charlottenborg later that year, the title in the catalogue was A Morning on the Piazza Marina at Palermo, on the right the Church of St. Maria della Catena, in the background the harbour and Monte Pellegrino, on the square scenes of everyday life in the South.
