Sarra de Peyster (1629–1646) and her younger brother Jacques (b. 1630) were born in the Netherlands to Jacques de Peyster and his wife, Catherine. The de Peyster's descendants brought this lavish portrait to America in 1684. Sarra is shown wearing clothing and jewelry befitting her family’s affluence. Coral bracelets such as those on Sarra’s wrists were thought to protect children from enchantment and disease, while her tulip symbolizes ephemeral beauty.

Choose your favorite material option
We offer a range of various materials and sizes for every product. We allow yout to choose among the following variants:
- Canvas: A canvas print, not to be mistaken with an artwork painted on a canvas, is a digital copy printed on an industrial printing machine. It has the unique impression of three dimensionality. Additionally, a canvas creates a charming and pleasing ambience. The great advantage of canvas prints is that they are relatively low in weight, meaning that it is quite simple to hang up your Canvas print without the help of additional wall-mounts. Canvas prints are suitable for all types of walls.
- Aluminium dibond print: These are metal prints on aluminium dibond with an outstanding effect of depth. The white & bright components of the artwork shine with a silk gloss but without glare.
- Printed acrylic glass: A glossy acrylic glass print, often named a fine art print on plexiglass, changes your favorite original artwork into lovely décor. Besides, it offers a distinct alternative to canvas or dibond fine art replicas. With an acrylic glass fine art print contrasts as well as small painting details become exposed due to the precise tonal gradation of the print.
- The poster print on canvas material: A poster is a printed sheet of cotton canvas paper with a slightly roughened surface texture. Please bear in mind, that depending on the absolute size of the poster we add a white margin between 2-6cm around the print, which facilitates the framing with your custom frame.
