Hans Makart is currently working again on a large-scale architectural design depicting a church in the Gothic style. It is again the boldness and imagination admire the artist in this design, but to execute this Gothic church probably can get as little as the Renaissance Palace. (General Kunstchronik, 03/11/1883) In the auction catalog from 1885 the church called "St. George's Chapel" was called, an error which persisted throughout the subsequent literature, although the figure of the Archangel Michael is clearly visible on the spire. The painter Hans Makart was a European artist, whose art style can be classified as Historicism. The Austrian artist lived for a total of 44 years, born in 1840 in Salzburg, Salzburg, Austria and passed away in 1884 in Vienna, Vienna state, Austria.
