In 1797 Jean Baptiste François Désoria made the painting with the title "Portrait of Constance Pipelet". The over 220 year old original has the dimensions: 130 × 99,1 cm (51 1/4 × 39 in). Oil on canvas was applied by the painter as the technique for the piece of art. The original artwork's inscription is: "inscribed at lower left, on the edge of the wall: DESORIA / 1797 an V". Today, the work of art can be viewed in in the Art Institute Chicago's digital art collection in Chicago, Illinois, United States of America.
