This 19th century artwork was painted by the American painter Winslow Homer in 1894. The beyond 120 year old original version was made with the absolute size: 23 13/16 x 27 15/16 in (60,5 x 71 cm) framed: 38 5/8 x 42 1/2 x 5 3/8 in (98,1 x 108 x 13,7 cm). Oil on canvas was used by the American artist as the technique for the masterpiece. The artwork can be viewed in in the digital collection of Yale University Art Gallery, which belongs to Yale University and is the oldest art museum of a university in the western hemisphere. The public domain masterpiece is being provided with courtesy of Yale University Art Gallery. In addition, the artpiece has the following creditline: Bequest of George Roberts, 1905.
