This work is part of Paul Meurice commands for opening the museum. A letter Steinlen, June 1, 1903, reflects the difficulties that the artist has experienced: "[...] your letter of last month - she thought I was in a terrible time - I had - for I do not know how time - to demolish my rableau I was not happy - I took advantage of the start from the ground up and then I can give it to you - [...] "the painting was then figured in the first clash museum, hall of paintings on the first floor.
