The Continence of Scipio is a painting painted by Sebastiano Ricci in 1711. The original has the following dimensions: 140 × 182 cm (55 × 71 1/2 in) and was painted with the technique of oil on canvas. Nowadays, this piece of art belongs to the art collection of Art Institute Chicago. We are delighted to state that the artwork, which belongs to the public domain is being provided with courtesy of Art Institute Chicago. In addition to that, the work of art has the following creditline: Preston O. Morton Memorial Fund. Moreover, alignment of the digital reproduction is landscape with an image ratio of 4 : 3, which means that the length is 33% longer than the width. Sebastiano Ricci was a male painter, whose artistic style can mainly be attributed to Baroque. The Italian painter was born in the year 1659 in Belluno, Belluno province, Veneto, Italy and passed away at the age of 75 in the year 1734 in Venice, Venezia province, Veneto, Italy.
