Gifford visited Isola Bella on Lago Maggiore, Italy, in 1856 and again twelve years later, painting the site numerous times and refining his vision of the scene. In late July 1868, the artist spent several days in the region, recording of one of them: “It was a perfect day, not too hot. I have come to the conclusion that this part of Maggiore is the finest of all the Italian Lakes.” In this painting, based on an oil sketch “of a sunset on Lake Maggiore,” Gifford extended the width on both sides to include the profiles of mountains distributed along the water, with the filmy light of sunset between them.

  • The canvas print: The canvas direct print is a printed cotton canvas stretched on a wood frame. A canvas makes the extra look of three dimensionality. Your canvas print of this masterpiece will allow you to transform your custom into a large collection piece like you would see in a gallery. Canvas Prints have the advantage of being relatively low in weight, meaning that it is easy to hang up the Canvas print without extra wall-mounts. A canvas print is suitable for any kind of wall.
  • Acrylic glass print: A glossy print on acrylic glass, often described as a UV print on plexiglass, will turn your favorite original into magnificient wall decoration. Moreover, the acrylic print makes a distinct alternative option to canvas and dibond art prints. The work of art is being custom-made with the help of modern UV print technology. The result of this are rich, stunning colors. The plexiglass with real glass coating protects your custom art print against light and external influences for between 4 and six decades.
  • Aluminium dibond: These are metal prints on aluminium dibond material with an impressive depth. For the Print On Aluminum Dibond, we print the artwork right onto the surface of the aluminum material. The colors are vivid and luminous in the highest definition, the fine details are crisp and clear.
  • Poster print (canvas material): A poster is a printed sheet of flat cotton canvas paper with a slight surface finish. Please bear in mind, that depending on the size of the canvas poster print we add a white margin 2-6 cm around the print, which facilitates the framing.

At the same time, the pigments of the printed materials, as well as the print result might differ marginally from the representation on the screen. Depending on your screen settings and the condition of the surface, color pigments might not be printed as realistically as the digital version shown here. Because all art prints are printed and processed manually, there might as well be slight differences in the motif's exact position and the size.
