In 1584 the painter Pieter Pietersz painted the classic art artwork Portrait or Cornelis Cornelisz Schellingerland (1551-1635). The artwork had the following dimensions - height: 68 cm width: 51 cm | height: 26,8 in width: 20,1 in and was produced with the techinque of oil on panel. The original masterpiece has the following inscription: inscription: Wert in dit Jaer tot / Delft doorschoten / Twelck veel me[n]sche[n] / heeft verdroteninscription: Obiit / Ao 75inscription: ELCK / SYN TYTbears inscription: ANo. 1584. Æ.T.33.. The artwork is part of the Mauritshuis's digital collection in The Hague, South Holland, Netherlands. We are happy to state that the artwork, which is part of the public domain is being included with courtesy of Mauritshuis, The Hague. The alignment of the digital reproduction is portrait and has a side ratio of 3 : 4, which implies that the length is 25% shorter than the width.
