Elevated to the papacy in 1740, Benedict XIV is shown wearing the ermine-lined cape (mozzetta) and ermine-lined hat (camauro) characteristic of papal winter garb. The stole is decorated with the papal keys and armorial device of the noble Lambertini family of Bologna. Subleyras had been chosen to paint the state portrait of the pope, but this informal one takes us much closer to the man whom Horace Walpole described as "a priest without insolence or interest, a prince without favorites, a pope without nephews."

Select the item material you will hang up in your home

The product dropdown menu provides you with the possibility to select your prefered material and size. The following options are available for individualization:

  • The poster print (canvas material): The poster is a printed flat cotton canvas paper with a nice surface finish. It is perfectly used for framing the art print with a customized frame. Please keep in mind, that depending on the absolute size of the canvas poster print we add a white margin of something between 2-6cm round about the print, which facilitates the framing with your custom frame.
  • Printed acrylic glass (with real glass coating): A glossy print on acrylic glass, often named a fine art print on plexiglass, will change the original into lovely wall décor. The work of art will be made thanks to state-of-the-art UV direct print machines. It makes impressive and vivid colors. The major benefit of an acrylic glass art print is that contrasts plus small color details will be more exposed with the help of the delicate tonal gradation.
  • Aluminium print (aluminium dibond): This is a metal print made on alu dibond with a true effect of depth. A direct Aluminium Dibond Print is your best start to the sophisticated world of fine reproductions on aluminum.
  • The canvas print: A canvas print, not to be mistaken with a canvas painting, is a digital image printed on a UV direct printing machine. It generates the unique effect of three dimensionality. Your printed canvas of this work of art will let you turn your own art print into a large collection piece like you would see in a gallery. Canvas Prints have the advantage of being relatively low in weight, meaning that it is quite simple to hang the Canvas print without extra wall-mounts. A canvas print is suited for all kinds of walls.
