This 19th century masterpiece with the title Leopold the Holy rejects the imperial crown was created by the Austrian painter Karl von Blaas. The beyond 160 years old original has the following size - 30 x 84,5 cm - frame dimensions: 42 x 97 x 6 cm and was made with the techinque oil on canvas. Today, this artpiece can be viewed in in the Belvedere's digital art collection. We are happy to reference that this work of art, which is in the public domain is provided with courtesy of © Belvedere, Vienna, inventory number: 2721. Additionally, the artwork has the following creditline: transfer from the Kunsthistorisches Museum, Vienna in 1927. In addition to that, the alignment is in landscape format and has a ratio of 3 : 1, meaning that the length is three times longer than the width. Karl von Blaas was a male mosaicist, painter, autobiographer, whose artistic style can be attributed primarily to Historicism. The Austrian painter was born in 1815 in Nauders, Tyrol, Austria and deceased at the age of 79 in 1894.
