The 19th century piece of art titled Allegory of Art was made by Karl von Blaas. The 160 year-old artpiece has the following size of 80 x 65,5 cm and was manufactured with the techinque oil on canvas. Signed and dated lower left: C. Blaas 1859 is the painting's original inscription. This artpiece is included in the digital collection of Belvedere located in Vienna, Austria. With courtesy of © Belvedere, Vienna, inventory number: 2719 (public domain license). Besides, the work of art has the creditline: transfer from the Kunsthistorisches Museum, Vienna in 1927. Besides this, the alignment of the digital reproduction is in portrait format and has a side ratio of 1 : 1.2, meaning that the length is 20% shorter than the width. Karl von Blaas was a male mosaicist, painter, autobiographer, whose style can be classified as Historicism. The Austrian painter was born in 1815 in Nauders, Tyrol, Austria and passed away at the age of 79 in the year 1894 in Vienna, Vienna state, Austria.
