Urban landscape. Genre scene. Historic stage. The tent occupies the site of the Great Basin of the Tuileries.

Following the Battle of Isly won by the troops of General Bugeaud against Moroccans led by Sidi Mohammed, son of the Emperor, the tent it was brought as a war trophy by the Duke of Aumale and exposed the next month, for several weeks, the Tuileries gardens. A piece of this tent is kept at the Military Museum of Perigord.
