What kind of print materials can I select?

For every fine art print we offer a range of different sizes and materials. Therefore, we allow you to choose among the following options:

  • Aluminium dibond print (metal): These are metal prints on aluminium dibond material with an outstanding effect of depth. A direct Direct Print on Aluminum Dibond is your perfect start to fine art replicas with aluminum. For our Direct Aluminium Dibond option, we print the artwork right onto the aluminium white-primed surface. Colors are luminous in the highest definition, the details of the print appear clear and crisp, and there’s a matte look you can literally feel. This direct UV print on Aluminum Dibond is one of the most demanded entry-level products and is a truly contemporary way to display art reproductions, as it draws attention on the artwork.
  • Print on acrylic glass (with real glass coating): An acrylic glass print, often labelled as a print on plexiglass, makes the original work of art into stunning décor. The great advantage of an acrylic glass print is that contrasts and also minor color details become visible with the help of the fine gradation.
  • Poster print on canvas material: A poster is a UV printed sheet of canvas paper with a slight texture on the surface, that resembles the original masterpiece. Please bear in mind, that depending on the size of the canvas poster print we add a white margin of around 2-6cm around the work of art, which facilitates the framing with your custom frame.
  • Canvas print: A canvas print is a printed cotton canvas mounted on a wooden stretcher. A canvas print produces a cosy and warm impression. A printed canvas of your favorite work of art will let you turn your art print into a large artwork. Canvas prints are relatively low in weight, meaning that it is easy to hang up your Canvas print without the support of any wall-mounts. A canvas print is suited for any type of wall.

Disclaimer: We try our utmost in order to depict our art products as closely as possible and to exhibit them visually on the various product detail pages. Nevertheless, some tone of the print materials, as well as the printing may differ marginally from the representation on the device's monitor. Depending on the settings of your screen and the quality of the surface, colors might not be printed as realistically as the digital version. Bearing in mind that all our fine art prints are processed and printed manually, there may also be minor deviations in the motif's size and exact position.

What does the original artwork description of the The Metropolitan Museum of Art write about the artwork created by Joseph Whiting Stock? (© - The Metropolitan Museum of Art - The Metropolitan Museum of Art)

As a prolific itinerant portraitist in the Connecticut River valley, Stock kept a journal of his daily activities, recording that he painted more than nine hundred works between 1832 and 1846. From the age of eleven, Stock was paralyzed from the waist down. He was able to travel in later years with the aid of a specially designed wheelchair. The children seen here are thought to be those of the artist’s younger brother, Isaac C. Stock, and sister-in-law, Sarah Hunt Stock, of Springfield, Massachusetts. Painting his subjects at full length, the artist employed colorful props in a detailed interior containing flat, abstract elements that are appealing to the modern eye.
