The over 300 years old masterpiece Sir Andrew Fountaine was made by the male painter Jonathan Richardson the elder. The beyond 300 year-old original had the following size: 76,2 × 64 cm (30 × 25 3/16 in). Oil on canvas was applied by the European artist as the medium of the artpiece. Today, the work of art can be viewed in in the Art Institute Chicago's digital collection, which is one of the world’s great art museums, housing a collection that spans centuries and the globe. We are delighted to state that this public domain work of art is included with courtesy of Art Institute Chicago. : Gift of the Antiquarian Society. Furthermore, alignment of the digital reproduction is in portrait format and has a side ratio of 1 : 1.2, which means that the length is 20% shorter than the width.
