The painting was painted by the romanticist artist John Trumbull. The 190 year old work of art measures the size 19 5/8 x 24 1/8 in (49,8 x 61,2 cm) framed: 27 1/2 x 30 7/8 in (69,9 x 78,4 cm) and was painted with oil on canvas. Furthermore, this work of art is included in the Yale University Art Gallery's digital art collection, which belongs to Yale University and is the oldest art museum of a university in the western hemisphere. Furthermore, alignment of the digital reproduction is in landscape format with a ratio of 1.2 : 1, which means that the length is 20% longer than the width. John Trumbull was a male artist, painter, whose art style can mainly be assigned to Romanticism. The American artist was born in the year 1756 in Lebanon, New London county, Connecticut, United States and deceased at the age of 87 in 1843.
