Johann Baptist Reiter presents in this painting is a boy who has just engrossed in a book. He tried to reproduce as realistically as possible light and color. The reader is illuminated from the left side. Striking bright spots can be seen on the right temple and cheek. The whiteness of the pages is reflected in the face of the guy. the painter by Rembrandt's son Titus reading was inspired. [1] The attitude of the boy and the use of light are reminiscent of this model. Rider works the reading culture of the 19th century reflects.
