This study takes in interpreting the left side of the work of Rubens, "The entry of Henri IV in Paris triumphant." Carpeaux up in its composition certain details, like the triumphal arch and the front of the procession accompanying the two horses pulling the coach of the King of France. In the foreground, a man brandishing a trophy armor. Bottom left, a group of women and children observed the progress of the cortege.

This 19th century masterpiece was painted by the artist Jean-Baptiste Carpeaux in 1858. The 160 year-old artwork had the size: Height: 22,2 cm, Width: 26 cm. Oil painting was applied by the artist as the technique for the work of art. The artwork's inscription is: Monogram = number - Bottom left: "JBC".
