This classic art work of art was created by the German artist Hendrick Goltzius. The artpiece forms part of the digital collection of Rijksmuseum, which is the largest museum for Dutch art and history from the Middle Ages to the present day. The engraver, painter Hendrick Goltzius was an artist from Germany, whose artistic style can primarily be classified as Mannerism. The Mannerist artist was born in the year 1558 and passed away at the age of 59 in the year 1617 in Haarlem, North Holland, Netherlands.
