In 1840 the artist Charles Robert Leslie painted this masterpiece. The over 180 year-old original had the size of 76,8 × 64 cm (30 1/4 × 25 3/16 in). Oil on canvas was used by the North American artist as the technique for the artpiece. Nowadays, the artpiece belongs to the art collection of Art Institute Chicago, which is one of the world’s great art museums, housing a collection that spans centuries and the globe.
