This more than 140 years old artwork called "Indian Sunset: Deer by a Lake" was painted by Albert Bierstadt. The over 140 year old original had the size: 30 3/8 x 44 1/2 in (77,2 x 113,1 cm) framed: 47 3/4 x 61 5/8 x 4 1/2 in (121,3 x 156,5 x 11,4 cm). Oil on canvas was applied by the American painter as the technique for the piece of art. Nowadays, this work of art is in the the Yale University Art Gallery's collection, which belongs to Yale University and is the oldest art museum of a university in the western hemisphere. The painter Albert Bierstadt was a North American artist, whose artistic style was mainly Romanticism. The American artist was born in 1830 in Solingen, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany and passed away at the age of 72 in 1902.
