The piece of art was made by the male British artist William Powell Frith. The 160 year-old masterpiece measures the size: 14 11/16 × 12 in (38 × 31 cm) and was painted with oil on board. The original artwork was inscribed with the following text: "inscribed at lower right: W.P. Frith 1855". Besides, this artwork belongs to the art collection of Art Institute Chicago. The modern art artpiece, which belongs to the public domain is included with courtesy of Art Institute Chicago. Creditline of the artwork: Restricted gifts of Irving Lauf and Irene McNear, Mrs. P. Kelley Armour through The Old Masters Society, Mr. and Mrs. Donald Patterson; through prior acquisition of Mrs. Dellora A. Norris. In addition to that, the alignment of the digital reproduction is portrait with a ratio of 1 : 1.2, meaning that the length is 20% shorter than the width.
