Aurelio Lomi, Orazio Gentileschi’s older brother, was active in Pisa, Florence, and Genoa. This monochromatic sketch of the Old Testament scene of the Gathering of Manna, with prophets reclining over the curves of a lunette, may have been done in preparation for a mural painting, perhaps in the cathedral in Pisa where Lomi worked in the first decade of the seventeenth century.

The painter Aurelio Lomi was a European artist, whose style was primarily Mannerism. The European painter lived for 66 years, born in 1556 and passed away in the year 1622.
