This more than 390 years old artpiece The Crucifixion was created by Francisco de Zurbarán. The beyond 390 years old original was painted with the size: 290,3 × 165,5 cm (114 5/16 × 65 3/16 in) and was crafted on the medium oil on canvas. The original artwork has the following inscription: "signed and dated on a scrap of paper painted at the foot of the cross". This artwork is in the the digital art collection of Art Institute Chicago, which is one of the world’s great art museums, housing a collection that spans centuries and the globe. Francisco de Zurbarán was a male painter of Spanish nationality, whose style was primarily Baroque. The artist was born in 1598 and deceased at the age of 66 in 1664.
