The product offering

This 19th century artwork with the title Self-portrait was made by the realist artist Gustav Gaul in 1852. The 160 year-old version of the work of art was made with the size: 41 x 31 cm - frame dimensions: 60 x 50 x 7 cm. Oil on canvas was used by the Austrian artist as the medium of the masterpiece. The original artwork's inscription is the following: signed, dated and name bottom right: G. Gaul / Vienna 1852 / January. It can be viewed in in the collection of Belvedere, which is one of Europe's most famous museums with three locations that blends the experience of architecture and art in a unique way. This artpiece, which belongs to the public domain is being supplied with courtesy of © Belvedere, Vienna, inventory number: 3017. : transfer from the Kunsthistorisches Museum, Vienna in 1921. Further, the alignment of the digital reproduction is in portrait format and has an aspect ratio of 3 : 4, which means that the length is 25% shorter than the width. Gustav Gaul was a painter, whose artistic style can primarily be classified as Realism. The Realist artist lived for 52 years - born in 1836 in Vienna, Vienna state, Austria and deceased in 1888.
