Cephalus and Procris (The Death of Procris) is a painting created by Joachim Anthonisz Wtewael. The original had the size: 51 1/8 x 38 3/4 in (129,9 x 98,4 cm) framed: 63 11/16 x 51 5/16 x 3 3/8 in (161,8 x 130,3 x 8,6 cm) and was crafted with the techinque oil on canvas. Furthermore, alignment is in portrait format and has an image ratio of 3 : 4, which implies that the length is 25% shorter than the width. Joachim Anthonisz Wtewael was a male painter of Dutch nationality, whose art style can primarily be classified as Mannerism. The Dutch artist was born in the year 1566 in Utrecht, Utrecht province, Netherlands and died at the age of 72 in 1638.
