The 19th century painting Self-Portrait was made by the male artist Eastman Johnson. The original of the painting was made with the size: 39,4 × 30,5 cm (15 1/2 × 12 in). Oil on millboard was used by the North American artist as the medium of the masterpiece. Signed lower right corner:"E. Johnson/1863"; upper right: palette insignia verso: pen inscription "109"; pencil inscription "15 1/2 x 12" is the artwork's original inscription. It belongs to the Art Institute Chicago's digital collection in Chicago, Illinois, United States of America. We are happy to state that the public domain artpiece is provided with courtesy of Art Institute Chicago. The creditline of the artwork is the following: Gift of Mrs. Arthur Meeker. On top of that, alignment is portrait with an image ratio of 1 : 1.2, which means that the length is 20% shorter than the width.
