Annibale launched the vogue for landscapes in which nature is transformed by the imagination into an idyllic setting for religious or mythological stories. The subject of this picture is based on the Gospel of John: "The next day John [the Baptist] seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world." The event preceded the baptism of Jesus by John. This beautifully preserved work was described in 1678 in the collection of the Farnese family in Parma and was later part of the Orléans collection in Paris.

Select the product material you would like to have

We offer a range of different materials and sizes for every product. The following options are available for individualization:

  • Canvas: The canvas print, not to be mistaken with an artwork painted on a canvas, is an image printed on a UV direct printing machine. Besides, canvas makes a cosy, pleasing ambience. A canvas print of your favorite artwork will provide you with the unique opportunity to turn your art print into a large size artpiece as you would see in a gallery. Canvas prints are relatively low in weight, meaning that it is quite simple to hang up the Canvas print without extra wall-mounts. Therefore, canvas prints are suitable for any type of wall.
  • Aluminium dibond print (metal): These are metal prints on aluminium dibond with an outstanding depth effect. For your Aluminium Dibond print, we print the artpiece onto the surface of the white-primed aluminum. The colors of the print are luminous and vivid in the highest definition, fine details appear crisp, and there’s a matte appearance that you can literally feel. This direct UV print on Aluminum Dibond is the most popular entry-level product and is a truly modern way to showcase fine art reproductions, as it puts the viewer’s focus on the artwork.
  • Poster (canvas material): The poster print is a UV printed sheet of canvas with a slightly rough surface structure. Please bear in mind, that depending on the absolute size of the poster we add a white margin 2-6 cm round about the print motif, which facilitates the framing.
  • Acrylic glass print: An print on acrylic glass, often labelled as a UV print on plexiglass, changes your favorite original into great home decoration. The work of art is being manufactured with the help of modern UV direct printing technology. This makes rich, sharp colors. The plexiglass protects your custom art replica against light and heat for many more years.

Legal disclaimer: We try the best we can in order to describe our products as precisely as possible and to illustrate them visually in our shop. Nonetheless, the tone of the print materials, as well as the print result can diverge marginally from the representation on the monitor. Depending on the settings of your screen and the nature of the surface, color pigments can unfortunately not be printed 100% realistically. Since all our art prints are printed and processed by hand, there might also be minor differences in the exact position and the size of the motif.
