The head of Christ is surrounded by a halo in which is designed to think and Greek letters "WH O" that refer to the sentence of Exodus: "I am the one who is" (Ex 3, 14). Christ's beard is sharp and smooth (so-called representation "A wet shaving"). The nose is long, the eyes and eyebrows elongated and narrow mouth.

The portion representing the face of Christ was réincrustée in the current board, more modern.

This 16th century artwork was made by Palais des Tsars (Ecole du) in 1500. The original was painted with the following size - Height: 28,5 cm, Width: 23,8 cm and was crafted with the medium Tempera, Wood (material). Registration - Registration in Greek: "O W H" was the artpiece's inscription. The artwork is included in the digital art collection of Petit Palais - Musée des Beaux-arts de la Ville de Paris.
