In the center of the composition, Christ stands in the middle of the Jordan, and standing naked. The Holy Spirit descends on him in the form of a dove. Jesus looks towards the faithful. In his cruciform nimbus, is the inscription in Greek: "O WN" ( "I am the one who is"). At left, John baptized Christ by imposing his right hand on his head, while his left hand holds a volumen. He is dressed in an ocher and mélote himatia the end of which flies away. On the right, three angels standing Lord, hands covered in reverence, lean towards Christ to serve. Kes John the Baptist and angels stand on a pink mountain full forms stylized mouvement.Sur borders of the icon are represented saints: left, St. Basil the Great and St. Blaise, dressed in bishops and holding the Gospels and right, Alexander holy monk holding a phylactery to deleted text and the apostle of Christ Thomas.

The style and painting faces, imposing, with broad cheekbones and large eyes, evokes the icons painted in northern Russia. It is also in this region that particularly light colors were used. The elegance and modesty of this work and the strong decorative paleography of the inscription in Slavonic allow the date of the seventeenth century.
