What print materials can I choose?

For every art print we offer a range of different materials & sizes. In order match your personal requirements perfectly, you can choose among the following product customization options:

  • Aluminium dibond: An Aluminium Dibond print is a material with an impressive effect of depth. The colors are luminous, the details of the print appear crisp and clear, and there’s a matte look that you can literally feel.
  • Canvas: The printed canvas applied on a wooden stretcher frame. Also, a canvas print generates a cosy and appealing appearance. Canvas prints are relatively low in weight. This means, it is easy to hang your Canvas print without the support of any wall-mounts. A canvas print is suited for all types of walls.
  • Printed acrylic glass (with real glass coating): An print on acrylic glass, which is sometimes referred to as a an art print on plexiglass, will turn your favorite original work of art into wonderful wall décor and is a distinct alternative to canvas and dibond fine art replicas. Your work of art is custom-made with the help of modern UV print technology. The great benefit of an acrylic glass fine art copy is that contrasts and also granular color details will be exposed thanks to the delicate tonal gradation.
  • Poster print (canvas material): A poster is a printed canvas with a slightly rough surface finish. It is ideally qualified for placing the art replica in a personal frame. Please note, that depending on the size of the canvas poster print we add a white margin 2-6cm round about the print in order to facilitate the framing with your custom frame.

Legal disclaimer: We try what we can to describe the art products as exact as possible and to illustrate them visually on the different product detail pages. Although, the pigments of the print products, as well as the imprint might vary somehwat from the representation on the monitor. Depending on your settings of your screen and the nature of the surface, colors might not be printed one hundret percent realistically. Since the are processed and printed manually, there might also be minor deviations in the size and exact position of the motif.

Elegance, sophistication, and worldliness define this portrayal of Mary, Joseph, and the Christ Child. Embedded in a fantastic cityscape with an elaborate fountain, the half-hidden figure of Joseph draws the viewer's attention, as do the lilies symbolizing the Virgin's purity in the right foreground. Contemporary taste in Antwerp and Brussels, where this painting was probably made, demanded that nearly every inch of a picture be filled with activity or ornament and that it be as ornate and decorative as possible. Even Mary's headdress provided an opportunity for an eye-catching, energetic shape fluttering against the flowering vines.

Jan Gossaert set the figures in an inventive complex of pseudo-antique architecture, indicating his general awareness of Italian styles, probably gained through prints from Italy, which often circulated in Northern Europe, rather than from actual experience.

This masterpiece named The Holy Family was painted by the Dutch painter Jan Gossaert. Today, the piece of art is part of the The J. Paul Getty Museum's collection. With courtesy of: The J.
