This oil sketch for a ceiling in a room of Palazzo Gnudi Scagliarini in Bologna takes its subject from the great Greek playwright Euripides (ca. 480–406 BC). Agamemnon's daughter is about to be sacrificed to appease the goddess Diana, who at the climactic moment appears and substitutes a deer on the altar. A flying putto stays the hand of the priest while the warrior Achilles, who had attempted to intervene, lies on the ground, astonished at the turn of events. Brilliantly staged, the picture is painted with extraordinary verve and liveliness. The frame was specifically designed for the picture.

  • Aluminium dibond print: These are metal prints on aluminium dibond material with an outstanding depth effect. The Direct Print on Aluminum Dibond is the perfect start to art prints made with aluminum. For your Direct Aluminium Dibond print, we print the chosen work of art onto the aluminium composite surface. The bright components of the artwork shine with a silky gloss but without the glare. The UV print on Aluminum Dibond is one of the most demanded entry-level products and is a truly sophisticated way to showcase artworks, since it puts the viewer’s focus on the artwork.
  • Acrylic glass print: A glossy print on acrylic glass, often denoted as a plexiglass print, will convert the original work of art into décor and forms a good alternative option to canvas or aluminium dibond art prints. The great advantage of an acrylic glass fine art copy is that sharp contrasts and smaller details become more visible due to the very subtle tonal gradation.
