Jean-Pierre Bernard said Bernard Leon, began in the theater Gymnasium on the day of its inauguration (December 23 1820), and soon became one of the most popular players in the new room. In 1827 he went into the Vaudeville troupe and in 1835 he took the leadership of the Gaiety Theater.
