Modern Cupids - Design to decorate a wall was painted by the male artist Hans Makart. The version of the work of art measures the size 80 x 149 cm - frame: 118 x 184 x 10 cm. Oil reproductions on canvas was applied by the Austrian painter as the medium of the artpiece. Signed and dated lower right: Hans Makart 1868 was the artwork's original inscription. Creditline of the artwork: transfer to K. K. Austrian State Gallery in 1911. In addition to that, the alignment is in landscape format and has an aspect ratio of 16 : 9, which implies that the length is 78% longer than the width. Hans Makart was a male painter, whose artistic style was primarily Historicism. The Austrian artist lived for a total of 44 years, born in 1840 in Salzburg, Salzburg, Austria and deceased in 1884.

For the first time Makart used photography easier for his concepts and ideas and to visualize faster. He painted the three replicas of the "Modern Cupids" (see. Frodl, Makart, 2013, cat.
