The 19th century artwork was created by François-Marius Granet in 1825. The 190 year-old version of the masterpiece was made with the absolute size: framed: 225,43 x 179,71 cm (88 3/4 x 70 3/4 in) unframed: 199,4 x 154,9 cm (78 1/2 x 61 in) and was crafted with the medium oil on canvas. Nowadays, this work of art is included in the digital collection of Yale University Art Gallery in New Haven, Connecticut, United States of America. With courtesy of Yale University Art Gallery (public domain license). Creditline of the artwork: Marion M. Kemp Fund in memory of her brother, Arthur T. Kemp, 1894. Furthermore, alignment of the digital reproduction is portrait with a ratio of 3 : 4, which means that the length is 25% shorter than the width. The painter François-Marius Granet was an artist from France, whose artistic style was primarily Neoclassicism. The European painter was born in 1775 and died at the age of 74 in the year 1849.
