Background information on the art print Mountain Lake

The over 140 year-old artwork was made by the artist Alexander Helwig Wyant in 1877. The original measures the exact size: 14 1/8 x 17 in (35,9 x 43,2 cm) framed: 20 x 23 x 2 1/4 in (50,8 x 58,4 x 5,7 cm). Oil on canvas was applied by the American painter as the medium of the artpiece. The artpiece can be viewed in in the Yale University Art Gallery's digital collection. We are glad to mention that this public domain artpiece is being supplied with courtesy of Yale University Art Gallery. Besides, the artwork has the following creditline: Given by Robert B. Browne in memory of Loomis Havemeyer. In addition to this, the alignment of the digital reproduction is in landscape format with a ratio of 1.2 : 1, which implies that the length is 20% longer than the width.
