This 17th century work of art was painted by Jan Steen in 1670. The version of the piece of art was made with the dimensions: height: 133,7 cm width: 162,5 cm | height: 52,6 in width: 64 in and was painted on the medium oil on canvas. It is inscribed with the details: inscription: Liet / Soo voer gesongen soo / na gepepen dat is al lang / g[e]bleken ick sing u vo[or] / so[o] volcht ons na[er] / van een tot hon[derd] / jaar. Nowadays, this artwork forms part of the collection of Mauritshuis, which the Mauritshuis is home to the best artworks of Dutch painting of the seventeenth century. In addition to this, the alignment is landscape and has a side ratio of 1.2 : 1, which implies that the length is 20% longer than the width. Jan Steen was a male painter from the Netherlands, whose style can primarily be attributed to Baroque. The Baroque painter was born in the year 1626 in Alkmaar, North Holland, Netherlands and deceased at the age of 53 in the year 1679.
