The original artwork has the following text as inscrption: signed and dated: AVDN / 7 fe[bruaris] 16[.]5. What is more, the artpiece forms part of the digital art collection of Mauritshuis in The Hague, South Holland, Netherlands. With courtesy of Mauritshuis, The Hague (public domain license). The creditline of the artpiece is the following: Theodor Lang, Paris; Jules Porgès, Paris, F. Kleinberger Gallery, Paris; A. de Ridder and heirs, Kronberg, 1910-1924; acquired with the support of the Rembrandt Association and private individuals, 1924. Furthermore, alignment of the digital reproduction is in landscape format and has a ratio of 3 : 2, meaning that the length is 50% longer than the width. The painter, drawer Aert van der Neer was a European artist, whose style was mainly Baroque. The Baroque artist was born in 1603 and deceased at the age of 74 in the year 1677.
